Itinerary and Packing List
Thursday
Around noon: Load gear, food and supplies at Blake Meier’s or John Beverley’s home. Head to Affleck Park campground (up Emigration Canyon, just a few miles past Little Dell Reservoir toward Big Mountain Summit). Set up camp. Hike to Little Dell Reservoir or up to Big Mountain Summit on Mormon Pioneer Trail, which runs through the campground. Dinner, campfire, games and snacks.
Friday
Breakfast. Head to East Canyon Reservoir (about 20-25 minutes drive NE from campground, along canyon road toward Morgan. Swim, canoe, kayak, paddleboard, play on beach, eat lunch. Dinner back at campground, along with campfire and snacks.
Saturday
Breakfast. Clean up, pack up gear. Fish at Little Dell if boys want or have fishing licenses and gear. Head home around noon. Affleck Park is 35-40 minutes away.

Ideas for clothing/gear to pack
- shorts (1-2)
- long pants (1-2)
- shirts (1-2)
- socks (2-3 pair)
- underwear (2-3)
- jacket
- sleeping bag and pillow (or 2 blankets could work too)
- inflating pad/cot/foam mattress
- hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
- sandals or other shoes for beach
- swimsuit and towel
- life jacket (if you own one. We will have some to share.)
- flashlights
- glasses case/contact lens case and solution (as applicable)
- toothbrush and toothpaste
- deodorant, lotion
- hand sanitizer, baby wipes
- water bottle
- bug spray
- fishing gear and license (if you have it or want to fish)
- camp chair
Camp will cost $25 per boy. Please submit your money to a member of the Bishopric or you can bring it the day of camp. Thank you.
