Shanna Hansen-

I am thankful to share my testimony with all of you today. It is a different experience to write it down.

I am so thankful that we have a living prophet on the earth at this time to guide us through these crazy times. It has been amazing to watch and listen to him as he touches on all of the concerns of mine, and probably all of your hearts.  I have chuckled many times over the last few months thinking of President Nelson telling us to take our vitamins last fall. You better believe I stocked up on my vitamins! I know that he is in communication with our Heavenly Father and that if we listen to his counsel and be obedient, then we will be kept safe. I love that some things were put into place including  Come, Follow Me,  and the opportunity for people to not have to wait a year to get sealed. That of course means so much to me right now, because who would have known that the temples would close. I am so thankful that Mitch and Dana will be able to be sealed very soon. I am so thankful for the temple. I have missed the feelings of being there and I know that it has made me appreciate the temple and the huge blessings that we have because of it.

I am thankful for my family. I am thankful that we will be a family forever. I am thankful that we have had this opportunity to take a step back and remember all of the things that are most important.  I am thankful for the good examples of my kids to me. I feel like I have learned so many lessons from them in the last few months. They have all been so trusting of Heavenly Father and been great examples of having faith and believing that Heavenly Father knows best and will lead them. I know that is true. He loves all of us and wants so much good for all of us! I am thankful for my ward family too. I love and miss all of you.

I am thankful for Joseph Smith. He kept the commandments, obeyed, repented when he needed to, and sacrificed all, even his life to help in the restoration of the gospel. I am so thankful for his example and know I have so much to learn from him. He has helped to give us one of the greatest gifts: the opportunity for us to have the Book of Mormon! It has been a great comfort to read it and see how much it corresponds with the world we are living in today. Many times throughout the Book of Mormon, we are promised that when we keep the commandments, we will prosper. That is very comforting to me during these crazy times.

I am so thankful for our Savior, Jesus Christ. He suffered many things and made it possible for everything good. We get to return to our Heavenly Parents and be together because of Him. We get to repent and keep trying because of Him.  We can feel peace because of Him. We have this gospel because of Him. I love Him and am thankful for everything He has done for me and for all of you.

I love you all.  I’m thankful for this opportunity to share my written testimony and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
